If it is true that the history of Italian music has been marked by performers who have represented our culture with pride on the world stage,  it is also true for orchestral conducting. In Francesco La Vecchia, it has found the greatest expression of such pride, and innate, skilful artistic talent. Giancarlo Arientoli – Segni d’Arte

For over a year now, the Roman public’s new favourites have been the Orchestra Sinfonica di Roma and its ingenious conductor, Francesco La Vecchia. They have just returned from highly-acclaimed concerts in the Glazunov Hall, St. Petersburg. The audience’s enthusiasm was heightened by the wonderful, intense rendition of the score by Francesco La Vecchia. Last season, Maestro La Vecchia performed one of the most mesmerising Brahm’s Fourth Symphony and Beethoven’s Nine Symphony which we have ever heard.
Erasmo Valente – l’Unità

The Orchestra Sinfonica di Roma’s tour in St. Petersburg, conducted by Francesco La Vecchia, was a great success. From the upper circle, youngsters applauded with stadium-like roars, while the more mature audience members in the stalls buzzed with enthusiasm. In response, Maestro La Vecchia was compelled to give an encore of the Final part of Beethoven’s Seventh Symphony; the lively performance was enough to melt even the frozen Neva river.
Renzo Bonvicini – Il Tempo

A triumphant success was bestowed by the huge audience in attendance, which acclaimed the conductor and his orchestra with endless, determined applause.
Gianluigi Indri – Il Giornale d’Italia

Maestro La Vecchia has a vast repertoire. He dominates each score with impressive naturalness. When listening to his concerts, one is struck by the simplicity with which he approaches the most difficult pieces. One is literally captivated by his expressions, each one the clear image of the intimate tale which music unfolds in his mind.
Nicolina Bianchi – Images

Maestro Francesco La Vecchia was forced to grant the enthusiastic theatre of Madrid’s Auditorium Nacional an important encore. There was no other option, given the wave of applause for him.
Rita Sala – Il Messaggero

Francesco La Vecchia’s conducting sculpts the most dramatic, tormented pages. It vibrates in the most internalised moments without ever departing from absolute rules of composition.
L’Opera

We have exceeded a diligent, correct interpretation of Mahler’s masterpiece; from the start, the performance testifies to an artistic quality that almost confuses the spectator. It seems that the applause and encores will not suffice until La Vecchia gives in to the ovation of his own orchestra. The rapport that ties the orchestra to its conductor is quite extraordinary and moving.
Colonne Sonore

Mahler’s imposing Titan was a choice Francesco La Vecchia embraced with energy and sensitivity. Guided by the skilful hand of the Maestro, the Orchestra Sinfonica di Roma has achieved standards of excellence and admiration throughout the world. The youthful  fervour of the orchestra body, together with extraordinary confidence, shaped an evening of musical excellence; all thanks to Maestro La Vecchia.
Gianluigi Indri – La Discussione

An Orchestra underpinned by musical direction marked by absolute precision in tempo, perfect tuning and harmonious understanding with the soloist. Enthusiasm, desire and passion: this is what drives the Orchestra Sinfonica di Roma. The fact is that Francesco La Vecchia, now in his fifth year of his role, has found the expressive key to exalt the professionalism of his young orchestra professors.
Franzina Ancona – Rinascita

The famous symphonies of The Barber of Seville and William Tell, followed by encores demanded by the audience, were faced by La Vecchia with brilliant dynamism. It was a concert that should be framed, and an unforgettable, personal triumph for the Maestro.
Renzo Bonvicini – Il Tempo

An end-of-February Sunday saw the stalls packed, worthy of a Scala opening performance. The orchestra conducted by Maestro La Vecchia, an internationally renowned figure, enchanted and delighted the audience.
Federica Baioni - Musicultura

In addition to the Mozart celebrations, we must also note the role of Maestro La Vecchia’s orchestra conducting, which perfected the performance of his young musicians.
Aldebrando De Vero – Il Corriere di Roma

Ten years since the abolition of apartheid in South Africa were celebrated at the Auditorium. The success of the event was due above all to the Orchestra Sinfonica di Roma, which yet again under the skilful, galliard hand of Maestro Francesca La Vecchia, delivered a majestic interpretation of the oratorio.
Gianluigi Indri – La Discussione

That Francesco La Vecchia, soul of the Orchestra Sinfonica di Roma, in addition to a beloved conductor, is also a proven organiser is no longer in any doubt.
Laura Valente – Classic voice

Fresh, spirited, young yet also exemplary. Such was the setting for The Marriage of Figaro performed by the Orchestra Sinfonica di Roma, splendidly conducted by Maestro Francesco La Vecchia. Aurora Acciari – Latina oggi

Francesco La Vecchia, who has groomed this orchestra passionately, transforming it into an excellent body, led from the podium with authority and precision.
Virgilio Celletti – Avvenire

Superb scenery; the solid, experienced baton of Francesco La Vecchia; and a whole new, solid esteem earned by the young Orchestra Sinfonica di Roma.
City Roma

Everything about the performance of the illustrious London choir and the young, accomplished, fresh and galliard musicians, miraculously harmonised in just a few short months by the desire and skill of Maestro La Vecchia, was smooth, delicate and lively. A packed theatre and lots of bouquets and applause.
Renzo Bonvicini – Il Tempo

This was the umpteenth homage to the Eternal City, which thirsts continually for beautiful music and performing excellence. This trend has been confirmed by the massive success gained by the Orchestra Sinfonica di Roma, conducted by Francesco la Vecchia.
Gianluigi Indri – La Discussione

This was the sight before me upon arriving at my meeting place with Maestro La Vecchia: the same sense of spirituality and, at the same time, solidity, which I encountered at the orchestra’s rehearsal room. Simplicity and efficiency: the building site of art where musical spirituality combines with the concrete reality resulting from creating one hundred new jobs.
Luca Ribustini – Spazio Musica

The extraordinary sonorous features of the score, extracted like precious gems by the gestures of the conductor, La Vecchia, refracted into the wide, surrounding space like swarming fireflies.
Paola Pariset – Il Tempo

Maestro La Vecchia’s young musicians have already performed before the Queen of the Netherlands, the President of the Italian Republic, and in Brussels for the President of the European Parliament. The Madrid concert, attended  by Queen Sofia and Princess Irene of Greece, was another pearl in the orchestra’s royal crown.
Andrea Cuomo – Il Giornale

With Francesco La Vecchia and his increasingly praiseworthy orchestra, we were privileged to attend a highly intense, moving performance which evoked a sense of theatre and emotional involvement.
Franzina Ancona – Rinascita

The orchestra guided by La Vecchia has demonstrated its mastery of a score marked by a complex play of symphonic semi-hues, fragments and abandon.
Giuseppe Pennisi – Musica
